Jimmy Hubbard

Systems Engineer | Infrastructure & Integration Specialist
USAF Leadership School Graduate  ·  Cloud & AI Practitioner  ·  Mission-Critical Systems Delivery

Jimmy Hubbard is a Systems Engineer with experience supporting complex, software-driven environments where reliability, validation, and performance are critical. His background spans configuration engineering, infrastructure deployment, and systems engineering, working alongside software engineers, project leaders, and customer stakeholders to deliver and maintain high-performing applications and infrastructure. He is known for a structured troubleshooting approach, the ability to translate operational requirements into effective technical solutions, and a strong focus on ensuring systems perform reliably in real-world conditions.

Systems Engineering — DYNAC Traffic Management Platform

As part of a systems engineering team supporting the DYNAC traffic management platform, Jimmy contributed to the delivery and operational support of a large-scale application used by traffic engineers to manage roadway operations across the Netherlands. The platform governed the creation and management of traffic incidents while controlling digital signage, traffic signals, lane assignments, and related roadway infrastructure.

Jimmy regularly analyzed Jira issues submitted by customers and internal teams, determining whether behavior was rooted in configuration or underlying software. When configuration changes were required, he investigated system settings, applied corrective adjustments, and validated results to ensure resolution without unintended impacts. When software changes were needed, he collaborated with development teams to isolate root causes and support resolution through detailed technical findings.

He played a key role in system validation — writing and executing test cases to verify application functionality and service performance. He also participated in load testing exercises, generating large volumes of simulated incidents through automated tools and coordinated team activity to evaluate system performance under operational stress, ensuring stability during high-volume real-world events.

Configuration Engineering — Infrastructure Deployment

Early in his career, Jimmy supported the installation and commissioning of roadside traffic infrastructure across more than 20 deployments in Maryland. His work included server installation, network configuration, and gantry and roadside cabinet integration — all delivered and commissioned on schedule. This experience contributed to the reliable deployment of infrastructure supporting large-scale traffic management systems.

Military Service — U.S. Air Force

Jimmy is an eight-year United States Air Force veteran who served as a Mechanical Systems Technician supporting operations both domestically and overseas, including deployments to Qatar and Afghanistan under Operations Enduring Freedom and Freedom’s Sentinel. He supervised junior airmen, led small installation teams, and maintained critical infrastructure supporting thousands of deployed personnel. His service instilled a strong foundation of accountability, problem-solving, and operational reliability that continues to shape his professional approach.
